Colomer USA, Inc., a subsidiary of The Colomer Group, recently teamed up with Feed The Children to donate goods and cash to Hurricane Katrina survivors. Colomer USA has contributed a substantial amount of personal-care products, as well as a cash donation to the Red Cross Katrina Fund. The company also held a raffle to raise money for baby-care products.

Feed The Children provided Colomer with five semitrailers to be filled with personal-care products donated by the Colomer brands. The products were set to be delivered to areas of Louisiana and Mississippi.

According to Michael Powell, president of Colomer USA, Inc., company employees also agreed to forego their annual holiday party and recommended that the funds be donated to the Red Cross Katrina Fund. The amount donated was $20,000.

Employees raised nearly $2,000 in a raffle for baby-care supplies. The items were scheduled to be distributed to areas affected by the hurricane through the Feed The Children organization.
