The Nailco Group (TNG), headquartered in Farmington Hills, Mich., hosted DREAMS 2005 featuring Tiffany: Michigan Hairdresser of the Year Awards on Oct. 5 benefiting the American Cancer Society.
DREAMS has raised more than $800,000 in its 5-year history. The event was held at the new Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, Mich. and drew 850 VIP guests who were treated to a cocktail reception, delectable dinner and a first look at the hottest hair and fashion styles from the top salons and fashion retailers during a live runway show.
The Tiffany Award Ceremony, deemed the “Oscars of Hairdressing,” crowned the top three photographic winners in Colour Trophy, Formal and Women’s Editorial. Nino Genna was awarded the Michigan Lifetime Achievement Award. A panel of judges also picked the 2005 Michigan Hairdresser of the Year--Tracey Tate of 6 Salon.
“DREAMS 2005 featuring Tiffany was absolutely amazing with 850 people attending to support cancer research and witness the spectacular Tiffany competition,” says Larry Gaynor, president and CEO of The Nailco Group. “Michigan has some of the most-talented hairdressers in the country who continue to take their skills up another notch.”
DREAMS Live Dream Conquer” bracelets were available for a $5 donation. Through this year’s event, TNG expected to raise $150,000 from those sales.
