The International SPA Association will recognize John E. Lopis, Ph.D., and Ginny Michel-Lopis with its 2005 Visionary Award at the ISPA Conference & Expo, Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Dallas.

The ISPA Visionary Award is given to an active ISPA member who has contributed significantly toward the definition and positive movement of health and wellness over the lifetime of his or her career.

“As two of the eight founders of ISPA, the vision shared for the association by John and Ginny Lopis is profound,” says Kate Mearns, ISPA chair. “As visionaries, they lead by example and encourage others to transform words into actions. ISPA is pleased to have the opportunity to recognize John and Ginny Lopis as tremendous visionaries for the spa industry.”

The Lopises note: “We are truly honored to be recognized by our friends and colleagues, many of whom have unselfishly contributed to our success, and in our minds share in this award. We are amazed and humbled to receive this special and unexpected honor. There are so many deserving people who have contributed so much to ISPA, and to the spa industry, over the years.”
