SAN ANTONIO—The San Antonio chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) has bestowed the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award upon Tina Zillman, paramedical esthetician and co-owner and director of two Skin Rejuvenation Clinique locations in San Antonio. The award honors and recognizes the valuable contributions being made by women business owners in the San Antonio area, and acknowledges the stamina and personal sacrifices of women to become successful despite obstacles and diversity. This year, seven winners were selected from more than 80 nominees. Professional Beauty Association Debuts SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.—This July, members of the Beauty & Barber Supply Institute, American Beauty Association and The Salon Association joined forces to create the Professional Beauty Association (PBA), a nonprofit trade organization representing the professional beauty industry in North America. For the first time ever, the PBA brings together the distributor, manufacturer and salon/spa communities to advocate for the industry collectively. Each section—manufacturer, distributor and salon/spa—has a leadership council that represents the unique interests of that community.
